It’s a pretty hard question because sometimes the way we love to make money online as a Nigerian student may affect our academic life.

Now, every student is different from the other with the least one attribute.

Therefore, the way we can handle pressures and multitasking are at completely different levels.

So how will you be able to make the choice of the way you want to make money as a student or teenager and be financially buoyant?

And most importantly how will this financial buoyancy not drain you as a student academically?

Let’s take a look at some factors to consider when choosing a way to make money online in Nigeria as a student.

There are a lot of determinants when making this decision:

1. Course of Study

Before you choose a way to make money online in Nigeria as a student, you will need to take a close look at the course you are studying first.

Ask yourself, “is it a course that allows me to have extra curricular activities like hustling?”

You would agree with me that not all courses have same bulkiness.

A very great example is Accounting and Medicine and Surgery.

The courses are completely different in terms of bulkiness of the syllabus.

As a result of this, the way you will choose to make money online in Nigeria as a student of Accounting, will be different from how you will approach it as an MBBS student.

In a nutshell, you will choose something that takes less of your attention or time as an MBBS student while you can go for something that will take more time for an Accounting student.

2. Current Academic Performance

If you are someone that cares a lot about academic performance, then you should be careful what method you choose to make your money online as a student in Nigeria.

Also, your current academic performance which can be indicated by your CGPA tells you if you have time to focus on something else, or multitask.

So in theory, if you are a straight A student, or your current academic performance is so high, you’re good to go.

However, some limitations can set in and affect how you can successfully be master the skills.

Some of them include:

  • Ability to learn on your own: You may find it quite hard to understand programming languages on your own without someone directing or mentoring you.
  • Financial Capability: Not all skills can be learnt for free online because some are only available as paid services or they will ask you to become a premium user to access more materials on the skill. So if you don’t have enough investment to learn a skill, that will influence your choice of ways to make money online as a student.
  • Commitment: This is the most important quality you need to excel in acquiring a skill to make money online as student. If you’re not committed to learning a skill, or you neglect some things, you will find it boring. So before you choose a skill to learn and monetize, make sure you have decided to give in your all.

5. Relevance to your Course of Study

Say you’re studying computer science and engineering, that means you will be taught programming languages.
